I’m hard pressed to find a photo like the one above that truly represents my feelings and emotions in 2020. I spent a lot of time pretending everything was OK, doing my best to take one day at a time, trying to adjust to the new normal.
Like most of you, I experienced loss and grief and confusion and frustration and found it difficult to be determined to care or carry on for far too many days in a row.
But, the two weeks off I gave myself at the end of December helped me gain some perspective. Outside factors—both good and bad—will always be something we have to deal with, but it’s the inside that will get you through: the heart, the soul, the drive, the passion.
It’s been over one month since our December Virtual Wellness Retreat and 2+ years since we last published a blog post on here. As I start breathing new life into this website and the pile of projects, hopes, and dreams that has been sitting in a dusty corner the better part of nine months, I realize that, as much as things have changed, nothing has really changed, but what I do—or don’t do—from this point forward will make all the difference.
